Versa 2 shortened sleep record

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 2 always misses the first few hours of sleep.  The reports say that I go to sleep at 2am or later, when in fact I have gone to sleep shortly after 10pm.  I wondered if I am restlessness for the first few hours so I stayed awake to find out. (Just joking).  Anyway, I do not think I am restless the first few hours.  I have tried tightening the band and loosening it, no change.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I am sorry to hear your Fitbit Versa 2 always misses the first few hours of sleep. I appreciate the additional details and your efforts to resolve this. Thank you for confirming that the watch is snug on your wrist. Autodetection is based on your movement. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device assumes that you’re asleep. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already

It is possible to correct the sleep record from your dashboard by following the steps from this help article: How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

You can find more information about tracking sleep here

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
