Versa 2 showing steps whilst on charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 2 has recently started counting steps even though the device has been on charge and not touched. Very annoying as I can't track accurately which is the whole purpose of purchasing a Fitbit. Is this a software issue, an issue with the device or something I can rectify myself? Any assistance appreciated

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

Thank you for the information provided.

If your Fitbit Versa 2 was placed on a surface near an electrical appliance issuing vibrations, your watch might have recorded them as steps. I would recommend putting your Fitbit device on a different place while charging to see if the issue gets resolved.

Whether this is not your case, please restart your Versa 2 by following these steps.

For instructions on how to negate the extra data, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?".

See you around.
