I have a Versa 2 that has the same problem, and NOTHING let's me choose anything or do anything...won't connect to the phone, won't go to any other screen...won't do anything but the red x and "data not cleared" message. Will not be recognized by phone in bluetooth settings or anything. Already restarted phone, bluetooth, fitbit app, etc. Everything that has been suggested on numerous other threads,and it is still not doing anything.

@Megan_lynn. welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since it shows a "Data not cleared" message only. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so no your device, follow the steps below:

Am having same issue with my versa 2. I've followed your advise but the red x continue to appear showing data not cleared sync and try later.

I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they assisted you via chat..
