Versa 2 shows a "Data not cleared" message

Hi

 

I have been having issues with my versa 2 over the last little while.  So decided to do a factory reset and reinstall on my iPhone. Now have the issues of my versa not being able to turn on or off and on the screen it states

“data not cleared Sync & try again” 

however I am unable to do this and this screen won’t change even with a forced close.

Hi @Tmwatch, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is displaying a "Data not cleared Sync & try again" message. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know how the factory reset was performed. In the meantime, try a regular restart as described in this help article. After this, try setting up your watch from scratch and see if the issues get fixed.

Hi @JuanJoFitbit  thanks for the reply. Have tried the steps in the link you have sent. It has not helped however. Turning it of and in still brings up the same message. 
am unable to sync onto my phone as am unable to see the versa 2 on Bluetooth as well.

Hi @Tmwatch, thank you for getting back and trying the restart process. Please let me know if you tried the factory reset as listed below:

 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try the setup process one more time and see if the error message disappears and your watch connects with your phone properly.

Have tried these steps and am still in the same position. Unable to clear the message 

Still have a Red Cross in a red circle. Above “Data not cleared Sync & try again”
