Versa 2 shut off, will not come back on

i was trying to sync my Versa 2 this morning and I noticed the battery at 47% so I decided charge it. It would sync, kept looking for device. When I went to put it on the charger, I noticed the screen was off. I held the button for 10 seconds and nothing. Put it on the charger and the Fitbit star came on and it started to charge and also sync. Then it just turned off again and appears dead. Please advise. Thank you.

Two questions for you:

1.) How long did you leave it on the charger for?  It needs to be on the charger for at least 2 hours to get a decent charge if the battery is completely depleted.  I put mine on the charger when it's 50% depleted this morning, it will take about an hour to charge fully from there.

2.) Are the contacts on both the charger and the Versa 2 clean?  They will need to be clean to get a good connection.

Thank you for replying and your suggestions. Here are answers:

1. I hadn’t even put in on the charger yet went it went off, both screen and the green lights on the back. I usually charge it for 2+ hrs.

2. Contacts on both charger and device are clean.

I left in on the charger while I was in the shower and it still hasn’t come back on.

It has turned back on! Not sure what happened, but it appears to be working now. I’ll see if it does it again...
