It seems maybe late January- my Versa 2 has not been tracking my walking distance accurately. I walk the same route and it has always tracked it accurately and consistently. Since late January, it is about 15 to 20% short of where it has always tracked the same route. Just fyi- I’m using the watch only - not taking my phone w me. For example- one route is 2.79 miles and it will track me at 2.27. And the other route is 1.85 miles and it will track me at 1.5.
any ideas or suggestions?

@btf0311 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
If you compare the distance and amount of steps recorded, from the dates, where you see that they are accurate, to the ones on those days that are not, do you see any difference on the amount of steps taken?
Remember that the distance is calculated by multiplying your steps with your stride length.
Have you tried setting up your stride length manually? Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?

Thanks Juan. They steps are basically the same.
For example. 3438 steps = 1.84 miles back in January in 29 min 41 sec.
I walk the exact same route now and it shows 3471 steps = 1.59 miles in 29 min 48 sec
14% variance.
it looks like something changed w the calculation between Jan 23 and Feb 2nd.
all of my walks (same routes) are off since around Jan 23rd.
same route, same time, but different mileage calculations.

@btf0311 , Thank your reply and further information
Are you using Connected GPS for your activity?
Have you changed your phone lately?
Do you see the track/shown on the map or a straight line?
If the GPS connection gets lost, there could be a discrepancy on the recorded distance.
How does it look after setting the stride length manually?

Hey Juan- I will try to answer all of your questions.
I am not using connected GPS. Fitbit Versa only- without my phone with me.
I have not changed my phone at all. Still the same OS.
No I don’t see the map- because I’m using it without the phone. No gps.
I have no set the stride manually bc I have not made any changes at all. It literally started tracking completely different without any changes to the phone or the app.
trying to figure out why.
