Versa 2 special edition not receiving texts

i’m having trouble with my fitbit versa 2. i get notifications for my snapchat, calendar etc but not text. i resolved the issue with and realized it was the text preview had to be on. but it’s still not letting me reply on there. two girls at my job have the same exact watch. and theirs allows them to use shortcut replies or even voice text..
