I use a DeskCycle 2 at work as much of my job involves me sitting in front of a computer. Before I got my Versa 2, I was using Google Fit to track my exercise manually, and it counted exercise biking as active minutes, so I was expecting the Versa to do so as well.
I am aware that the Versa is not able to determine activity while "spinning" (the non intuitive term for exercise bicycling), as there is no arm movement involved. So I track it using the exercise app. Herein lies the problem - it does not count spinning as active minutes due to it tracking most of the energy expenditure as being below 3 units. In fact, it tends to spike up and down.
If I record it as biking using the online calculator for the DeskCycle, it calculates the energy expenditure as much higher for the same time period. More to the point, it tracks it as a flat expenditure of energy that is nonetheless 2.5 times greater than the average while spinning m
I'd appreciate it if someone could explain this to me.

I'd really appreciate some assistance here. I can't work out how to translate calories/minute to METs, and without that, I can't tell if the app is accurately measuring what should and shouldn't be active minutes.
