Versa 2 starts the day with over 400 calories burned - how to clear and start the day with 0 calories burned

It clears at midnight automatically. Then, even if you sedentary you will still burn some calories due to BMR (the energy you consume just to stay alive :)). If you are looking for active calories (excluding BMR) then Fitbit has no support for this metric.

Fitbit starts the day at midnight. It estimates your total calorie expenditure which includes your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR). BMR is estimated based on your stats (gender, age, height, weight...) Calories expended during exercise are then added on top of the BMR. You can track calories during exercise by using the tracking function of the unit. At this time there is no way to strip out BMR from the total calories.
