Versa 2 starts to charge but then stopped

My Versa 2 suddenly won't charge. It was working fine. Charged fine. But then all of the sudden while charging today, it seemed to start charging but stopped after a few seconds. Have tried everything; reboot, wiping with alcohol. Still won't sustain charging beyond a few seconds. Any suggestions, please?
