Versa 2 stopped registering my sleep score

My Versa 2 stopped giving detailed sleep records, including sleep scores for the last 2 weeks. I have tried restarting the device, logging off and on, and checked the heart rate monitor(which is working fine). I have an iPhone 8 plus. Could someone guide me on what the issue could be and how to resolve it?

Hi there @bvarma, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details shared in your post about your Sleep Score that has not been registered by your Versa 2 for the last 2 weeks. I appreciate all the steps you've tried so far in order to solve this inconvenience.

Keep in mind that you must see sleep stages in order to see your sleep score information. Please swipe left on the Sleep Score graph, here you can see information about your weekly sleep average and sleep duration. To get more detailed information, see: What's sleep score in the Fitbit app?

If you are not receiving sleep stages, I recommend considering the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Give this a go and let me know how it goes.

I do not get a sleeping heart rate under restoration. This has been going on for 4 days now. Can you help?  Restarting did not solve the issue.

I bought my Versa 2 on July 25th. I have owned fitbits for at least 7 years. On my Ionic and on the Versa 2 I was getting sleep scores almost every night. On the Versa 2, I recently began getting 02 variation  and HR. (the HR graph  thru the night was not visible until recently) I updated my tracker last week and since then have only gotten the simplified sleep information, with the notification that a consistent HR was not obtained. I worked out today and my fitbit tracked my HR just fine. I am not sure what to do. Other than the update, I haven't changed any settings.

I am also having the same problem after years of use with a Blaze and then a first gen Versa.  The presence of others with this same issue suggests there is a firmware update that isn't playing nicely with the app or something.  I'm still within my 30 day return policy and strongly considering using it now that I see others have this same problem.

I have a Versa that is about 18 months old. I have never had a problem other than short battery life. About a week ago I noticed that it stopped recording my sleep. Then I noted that the green light no longer flashed. I tried the suggestion of toggling sleep and doing a reset. I did this several times to no avail. After my next charge the green light flashed a few times then went off again. Today I removed the Mindfulness stats tracker because I didn't what it and it had been added automatically at some point. Later on today I tried toggling sleep and doing a reset again and to my surprise the green light is working again. Now is this just a coincidence or did the Mindfulness tracker introduce a software bug that broke something?

I've had my Versa 2 for a year. My sleep tracker on my Versa has also been working well--until last night. You're right--this happened just as the Mindfulness tracking was added. I just removed that and hopefully mine will work also. Thanks for the tip.

Make sure you reset it. If the green light is flashing it will probably be working correctly. Let me know if it works.

Coincidentally, the night after I sent the above note, my Versa 2 started giving me the full sleep info. The last two nights have been fine.

I am now a happy camper.
