Help. My Versa 2 stopped tracking floors climbed on 08/31/2023. I climb hills all the time on my walk and average ten to seventeen floors depending on how many laps I complete.

Version 35.72.1.23 on my Versa 2 and the app doesn't have an option to update and has Versa 2 listed as version 72.1.23

What do I need to do to correct this issue or is this a Fitbit issue?

Now it's not working and lost about 2k in steps. I have the screen of death (looks like an old CRT monitor gone bad) and so far nothing brings up any screen and I haven't been able to do a hard reset either. I hope that if I leave it charging overnight this issue will go away.

I think my Versa 2 screen is now officially dead. First I could see the whole screen like what you see in the attached picture. Now just a small sliver of light and won't connect to blue tooth any longer either.Versa 2 screenVersa 2 screen

That is awful.  Hopefully you still have a warranty.  If not, you will be only offered 35% off a new one which is more expensive.  This has to be a sodftware/battery issue. My versa has issues in beginning of August before then no problems at all.  Now my Versa is toast and was offered 35% discount which I WILL NOT BE USING.  I don’t blame support because they are doing what their superiors are telling them.  It is the company who dies not want to MAN UP and admit there is an issue with software updates and their batteries they purchased. It is funny once that last firmware software update happened now every device is having issues not a coincidence. All is going to happen is they will lose business and customers will purchase their smartwatches/trackers from another company.  I guess they don’t care.  Good luck hopefully it will start working for you again.
