Hi, the pulse reader on my versa 2 stopped working. I have tried restarting my Fitbit and it comes back on for about a minute then turns off again, also checked in the app that the heart rate tracking is on which it is. As a consequence my fit bit is obviously not tracking heart rate or sleep, I also noticed today that my Fitbit is not tracking the step count correctly or registering when I have done over 250 steps in an hour. Can anyone advise if they have had the same issues and if they have been able to fix it?

I have the same problem. It turn off by itself in the middle of the night a few nights ago.
I tried re-starting the fitbit multiple times. I also let the battery run out and then fully charge it and it didn't work.
Anyone has an idea on how to fix it?

@Acuariana - did you try the Shutdown suggested?

Thanks for reaching out. I don't think I have that option. There's no "about" on settings.
Do you have another option?

@Acuariana - on your Versa 2 watch, swipe the face left, click Settings, scroll to the bottom, click About, scroll to the bottom Shutdown.

@MattyP12, @Acuariana , @Hollib13 - it would be good to know if you applied a firmware update recently which could account for the change in behaviour?
One test you can still do is isolate the Fitbit App by turning off Bluetooth on the phone. Then do a Shutdown / restart of the watch as described above and see how long the heart rate measurement in the Today App on the watch works for. If it works then a recent update to the Fitbit App could be causing an issue.
Worth investigating.
If you can't resolve it probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you check it.
Also reachable via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.
If it is under warranty it may be better to take it to the shop for a new replacement, rather than accepting a refurbished replacement from Fitbit.

Mine stopped tracking heart rate immediately after a firmware update. Fitbit's answer was, "too bad, so sad. We feel your pain, so here's a 35% off coupon... go buy a new watch."
Ummm. No! This thing cost north of $250 a year and a half ago, and was working up until Fitbit pushed a BAD firmware update. I will not be spending any more money with this company. And while I'm not expecting an heirloom quality timepiece for my 250 bucks, I was expecting a piece of computing hardware that would last for more than 18 months.
Buyer beware. IMO, Fitbit does not stand behind their product. Read the warranty carefully, firmware is likely not represented as a design defect in craftmanship (even though it should be) so it won't be covered when they break your device (at least that was my case - 12 months, hardware only).

Mine happened the same thing.
After the last update, my Versa 2 started having issues with the heart rate led until it stopped working completely.
That's too bad, and I wish I didn't do the update...
