Versa 2 stopped tracking my heart rate

I've been wearing my watch to bed to track my sleep for a research project and it was working when I started it but there is a TWO WEEK GAP IN DATA. I wear my watch every night and I make sure it's charged. How am I supposed to use data with a TWO WEEK GAP?! I have been a member of the Fitbit community since April 2019 (Versa) but I received a new one from Fitbit (Versa 2) because my original watch had malfunctioned.

 

Should I just get a completely different Fitbit watch or just transition to a different brand?
