Hi there, @Jessrain85. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2.

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your watch, from the main screen of your watch, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Versa 2. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Versa 2's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your watch once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your watch once again.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Hi,

I am having the same issue, I have tried the steps above numerous times, to no avail. This seems to be a problem with a lot of fitbit users since an update a few weeks ago. If this is a known issue, what can be done to rectify it? It's clearly not user error if so many have the same issue.

I am having the same issue and have tried all the reset steps outlined above. My sleep tracking has also stopped working at the same time.

Same here. Mine has actually been not lighting up or tracking my BPM for quite a while now that I went back and checked! I did notice they had stopped lighting up for a while now. Could it be a problem with the newest update? Suggestion did not work; tried MANY times. 😞

Versa 2, synched today at 17:25 v.72.1.23

Mine isn't working, either, so frustrating.  It stopped o  the 2nd of September, I have tried all suggestions.   So disappointed with Fitbit

Exact same issue for me. Tried all the fixes. Fitbit telling me they won't repair only discount off new watch. Very bad service. Everything was perfect up to the latest update. Is there a way to full diagnose why the heart monitor is not turning on at least if we could plug the watch in to something using the usb charger? Very frustrating...

So the update that lots of other users are talking about didn't happen? If
you.read through the comments, lots of people are complaining about the
heart rate monitor stopping after the latest update, they can't all be
imagining it 🤷‍:female_sign:

@LisaMc2401 There has been no update on the Versa 2, correct. I'm assuming these people think an app update on the phone can wreck their watch.

What's the firmware number on this recent update?

Stinks, doesn't it, being forced into buying another watch, because they removed heart monitor, so what if they decide to remove other options from the dashboard...... they have let us down and I'm really disappointed, been using fitbit brands for years and have bought for gifts too... Now looking to but alternative, I know 1 individuals comments won't bother them in the slightest.  But it's wrong, update our fitbits to have items removed

Best Answer

They didn't remove heart rate. And still waiting for someone to post the firmware number on this update. 🙄 If Fitbit rolled out an update on the Versa 2 as some claim, you'd be able to post the new software version. No one seems to be able to do that.
