Versa 2 stopped tracking my heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa 2 has all of a sudden stopped recording my heart rate. It was stuck on 78bpm for about 5 days so I reset my watch and now the heart rate just says _ _

Tried everything to no avail 😞

Any ideas?  The watch is about 3 years old but everything else is working fine.

Hi there, @ranabanana77. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the heart rate on your Versa 2 stopped working. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd recommend trying the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working as heart rate reading is key to get your sleep data accurately:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your Fitbit device. To switch the heart rate settings on your Fitbit device, from the main screen of your Fitbit device, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Versa 2. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Versa 2's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Fitbit device once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Versa 2 once again.
  • Next, confirm that your Fitbit device is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the Fitbit device just above the wrist bone.

Hi, I've been having the same issue for about the last week as well. My watch is a little over a year old. I've done everything this form has said to do. I've cleaned the back to make sure nothing was blocking the sensor. I've charged my watch(so it wasn't a low battery). I've restarted my watch multiple times, turned the heart rate tracker on and off multiple times. I've done a soft reset as well as a factory reset and the heart rate monitor does not turn back on. What else is there to do??

Same problem for me. Stopped working 2 weeks ago. factory reset didn't fixed it. The green light is not working on the back.
Think it is broken, but it's strange that there are now multiple people with the same problem
