My versa 2 was purchased in April 2023. It has died, again! This is second watch in 2 years to do this. Shall I bother with the new versa? Is it still under warranty?

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your 16 month old Fitbit Versa 2 has stopped working. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
To better assist you, would you mind giving me more details of the issue? Is your Versa 2 not charging, not syncing? May I know if you've tried some troubleshooting steps so far? I'd like to share some help articles while I wait for your response, please check them below:

@SunsetRunner Thanks for letting me know the steps you've done so far. I understand how you must be feeling.
Regarding your inquiry, please note that our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy is set into providing as much coverage as we can. For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty
In addition to the steps you've done, please bear in mind that there are some issues that affect this behavior, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. With this being said, please make sure your Versa 2 is receiving good power source, please find below some tips to best charge Fitbit devices:
For charging purposes, your charging cable or your base station can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:
Sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working. Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.
It can take more than 10-15 mins to go from 99% to 100%. Personally, I never tend to charge my electronic devices to 100%, I've learned that the best way I can preserve the battery life is when I charge them to 80%. I charge them when the battery is at 20% then wait until it's at 80%.
