The gasket that connects the screen to the back degraded and failed. This then let water in to the unit. Now the unit will not turn on. Screen does a green flicker one in awhile while I have it on the charging cord. Will not sync, will not do firmware upgrade.
I was not submerging or anything of the sort. Just daily life stuff. Post shower moisture, lawn work, sweat, a bit of rain, hand washing, etc. Normal activity you would expect "water resistant" to handle. The adhesive gasket is the issue, It degraded and failed. I have attempted all the restart/reset techniques. Unsuccessful.
This is, I believe, my 3rd fitbit smart watch. I've loved all the products, including this one until it failed over the weekend. Quite unsatisfied at this point.

Hi there, @MichaelMarvinAg. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.
Please note Versa 2 is water-ressistant to 50 meters. However, water resistance may diminish over time and can be negatively impacted by any of the following:
If your watch got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. If your watch has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil) and dry it with a lint free-cloth. Be sure to follow our Wear and Care instructions to keep your device clean.
If your watch is still not responding after taking the above into consideration, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.
Hope that helps.
