So I've had my watch for over 2 years now and always been fine until last week when I went swimming, and I got the reboot loop.  After sometime I managed to sync the watch back up and uploaded the new software and thought I was onto a winner, but I now have a message saying reset failed data wasn't cleared try again. But I carnt factory reset or do anything with the watch. Seen a lot of other topics on this and tried it all but still not working.

Hi there, @Hotzafira. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

If your watch got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. If your watch has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil) and dry it with a lint free-cloth. Be sure to follow our Wear and Care instructions to keep your device clean.

Water resistance may diminish over time and can be negatively impacted by any of the following:

  • Dropping the device.
  • Exposing the device to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, or sunscreen.
  • Exposing the device to high-velocity water (for example, during water sports).

If your watch is still not responding after taking the above into consideration, as @Guy_ has suggested, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

Hi @Hotzafira - unfortunately it would seem it suffered water getting in. The seals on some watches aren't so robust and can fail over time.

In your case you can first try removing the watch from the phone's Bluetooth and from the Fitbit App. Then hold the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and wait for it to start again. Then in the Fitbit App click profile photo and "+Set up a Device"

It is also possible to factory reset it again using the buttons but it may not be fully usable or at all after.

You can chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support for help with the reset.
