Versa 2 stopped working after swimming

After going in a pool with 4 feet of water knowing it was waterproof the versa 2 started to reset and would not go back to the main screen anymore. I wish I could get a new one for free or a refund because I saved for a long time for this fitbit and now it doesn't even work anymore due to faulty info.

Hi there @MikaylaR48, welcome to the Community Forums. I am sorry to hear that your Versa 2 had stopped working after going in a pool. I understand how you're feeling as you like your watch and would like to continue using it.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend to restart your watch as described in this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the issue still persists, I recommend doing a factory reset. Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost. In order to do the factory reset, please do the following:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!
