Versa 2 stopped working after swimming

I've had my Fitbit versa 2 since June 21. Up until a week ago I never wore it in water but having checked the manual which advised that the fitbit was water resistant to 50m I decided it was safe to keep on in the swimming pool. Needless to say, it wasn't water resistant and now my fitbit is dead and the company is not taking responsibility for it.

Hi @colette.herlihy - unfortunately some watch seals are not too robust and do deteriorate over time. Fitbit will only replace during warranty.
