Fitbits are not water resistant!!! I started wearing my Versa2 24x7 to track steps and sleep patterns. Yesterday, for the 1st time, I wore the versa2 during swimming and within 2 mins, it was dead as the display went blank. Support offered 35% discount on new product. It will still cost me $150 to get a new versa. It's a big joke.

Hi @nj4784 - unfortunately the seals on watches can be poor or deteriorate over time and let water in. This can cause all sorts of problems or simply destroy the watch.
If you intend to swim you will need a more reliable waterproof watch.
Note also the the discount is only available on the more expensive Fitbit watches which don't have all the features your watch has.
