Buying the Fitbit or any of these smartwatchs is a ripoff. I've barely had my watch a year since May 2022 and conveniently is past the lousy limited 1 year warranty to get fixed by Google. The screen has stopped working and turned white and the original bands broke. I called the Fitbit help line because you cant take it back to Best Buy.

Hello Candy,
I totally agree with you about the longevity of the Fitbit smartwatch. I seem to be buying a new watch every 14 months because it conveniently stops working after the warranty is up. Then Fitbit offered me a small discount to purchase a new one. I am experiencing the same issue now.

Thanks for response Yeah. I'm trying hard not purchase another one because I enjoy the data (sleep, menstrual & stress) but buying one every year is not cost effective. Considering just buy a cheap pedometer to track steps and trying another brand. I had a Samsung for awhile and believe their warranty was longer because I shipped it back and they replaced it but no soon after, it stopped working and got with Fitbit. Of course now, the same thing. Plus I wonder where does all that data go now the watch has stopped working? In all, I think they're poorly making these watches and selling at ridiculous prices. But like old school cable, someone is going to come up with a better more viable option like the all the streaming cable options like Sling.
