Versa 2 stops receiving text messages every morning

I just got the Versa 2 as a gift this past week. Every morning my text notifications stop working and some days I can fix it and some days I can't. I have an iPhone 7 with all of the latest updates. I work as a hair stylist so having text notifications is very helpful and was a big reason why this was given to me as a gift.

The weird thing is all of my other notifications still pop up. Phone calls, app notifications, etc. They all work. Literally the only thing that randomly stops working every morning is text messages.

If this can't be fixed I'll have to return this and go for an Apple Watch or something.

@SunsetRunner, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 stops receiving text notifications all of a sudden. I totally understand how you feel about this. I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please check out the first post that shared KateFitbit in this thread where she explains more information about this and some steps for you to try.

I'll be around if any question arises.

I’ve done those steps already. The problem is the text messaging turns off every morning. It’s the only thing that consistently breaks every morning and the only fix is to reboot the device, which I don’t want to do every morning.

I guess it’s a common issue with iPhones & versa’s... mine did this as well and I have the iPhone 8. Shut off your Bluetooth for about 10-15 seconds, then turn it back on. Give it enough time to connect to not only your versa but the other connections it has, then open your Fitbit app and sync. It always works for me. For awhile I would start every morning doing this to make sure there would be no issues, and there hasn’t been. I agree that it’s a pain, I’m assuming it has to do with Apple having their own watches, but who am I to say for sure? Also I’ve downloaded the IFTTT app, which syncs your Fitbit data to your iphones “health” data, since downloading my Fitbit has worked better with maybe phones features but that could just be from manually turning off/on Bluetooth each morning.
