Versa 2 stops tracking and gets frozen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Fitbit Versa since February. For at least the last month, the tracker freezes. I have to either open the app and sync or press the button on my watch multiple times to get it to wake up and track. Sometimes neither of these work. It's disappointing to have to check everytime I move whether or not a device designed to track my steps is actually tracking them. The problem is increasing daily.

Hi @JKS21, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since it freezes. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.
  • Set up your watch from scratch
  • Finally, monitor your Versa 2 and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
