Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit Logo

Hello everyone.

I hope this message finds you well. I've been trying so hard to figure out how to restart my Fitbit Versa 2 watch.

My watch was perfectly fine yesterday until this afternoon when I could no longer turn it on. I pressed the left button to restart the device. I got a blinking fitbit versa 2 logo instead.

I tried the following to no avail:

Cleaned the sensors

Uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again

Checked for updates in my app. There are no new updates.

Pressing the switch button several times.

I  read the manual, but the instruction says, the watch needs to be used to reset to factory settings. How can I reset to factory settings if my watch is unresponsive?

I checked the instructions and advices in the fitbit community to no avail. Sent SOS to IG as well. No replies from the tech support team as of this writing.

I don't know the reasons why this happened to my device. This is one of the most useful gadgets I ever had.

Can someone please help me?

Hi there, @Jim2022. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

As per the description of your post, it seems like you actually performed a factory reset instead of a restart. That would explain why your Versa 2 is now stuck on the Fitbit logo.

With that being said, I'd recommend following the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

All items checked TO NO AVAIL! Some of the answers are not even applicable because my watch is totally unresponsive. The phone I am using is compatible with my watch. I am using this watch for almost 2 years now. The logo keeps on blinking like there is no tomorrow. I cannot even chat with the tech support team real time. I am honestly running out of patience.

This was me yesterday. Finally chatted with customer service and they told me to charge the watch. I did, over night, and it is still not working. Same issue as you. I even tried to follow all the steps above and nothing. Now I can’t get back to customer service to talk through next steps. Watch is less than a year old.
