Hello I have had had my Fitbit Versa 2 for a little over a year, when I charged it this weekend it would only display the fitbit logo for 10 seconds.  I never get any other screen the Bluetooh is connected and indicates I have a 100% charge but fails to sync.  I never get any other screen and can not the Fitbit so can not factory reset it.  I did try the hold in button - release - quickly press and hold again.  I never get any vibration.  When on the charger the fitbit logo will go on and off but I never get any other screen.

Hi there, @Fit2Fithgt. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having issues updating your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Thank you for your response, I did follow those steps with support.  Now the only thing my Vessa dose is to flash the fitbit logo every 20 seconds until the battery is dead.  It never fully resets, since it is out of warranty I was provided a discount code to purchase a new device which I have done.

Thank you and have a great day.
