Hello Fitbit community, since few days my Fitbit keep restarting on its own - it keep sending me to Fitbit logo screen, and when it's on, it's lagging - after I wake the screen it will need few seconds to show me clock. As a result my step count is twice less as it should be.

I did factory restart, I unpaired it with my phone as well as I change clock face to default. Please help!

@dukah Thanks for following the tips and recommendations I provided above. I understand how you must be feeling.

How did you perform the factory reset? Did you use the back button on your Versa 2 or you went directly to the settings?

As our last resort, I'd suggest performing a factory reset by following the steps below (please make sure that your Versa 2 is no longer paired to your phone's Bluetooth before performing this step):

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Hi there, @dukah. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. So to better assist you, please confirm that you've tried all the steps listed below:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having issues updating your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Hello! I did follow steps exactly one more time and I am getting exactly the same Fitbit behavior:

Whenever I wear it on my wrist, it keeps restarting on its own from time to time. Nothing changed 😔

I did review articles you mentioned, and my phone meets all the requirements as I was using Fitbit trackers for few good years.

How can I resolve that?

Hi Maria! I performed pairing and unpairing one more time and so far I'm not getting any issue, hopefully I won't after all.

Thank you for your help! Appreciate it a lot ❤️

Hi there, @Mtnrnr. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.

Please restart your Charge 5 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
