Versa 2 stuck on a heart rate monitor

My Fitbit is not tracking any kind of moderate to strenuous exercise. It picks up when I’m walking, but on runs or on the rower it gets stuck on a heart rate and won’t register the activity. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience that you've been experiencing with your Versa 2 watch, @JlsTaylor

Just to clarify, there are two different issues that sometimes occur at the same time, correct? The watch not tracking your activities and the when it doesn't record your heart rate.

In the meantime,  I recommend performing a restart and to follow all the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Thanks for the reply!

I did the restart of the device and it seems to be working better, but now
I'm noticing the Fitbit App is showing different data. When I go into the
exercise view of an activity (like a run) the heart rate data is quite
different from the heart rate data view.

Example: went for a run yesterday and the exercise view is showing my heart
rate got as high as 196bpm (which is kind of alarming!), but the straight
heart rate view show the highest my heart rate got was 144bpm. I'm
wondering if the exercise view takes a more granular view of heart rate
data, so it will pick up blips when heart rate could have briefly spiked
during the activity? The heart rate view looks at the heart rate data at a
higher level and wouldn't pick up that brief spike, perhaps?

@JlsTaylor Thank you for your reply and confirming that it's been working better after the restart.

In addition to the troubleshooting steps mentioned earlier, could you please also share a screenshot showing the behavior you mentioned? So we can take a look at how this information is being displayed in the app.

I'll be around.
