The heartrate is displayed at 90bpm though I took my pulse and it was at 70. I've tried turning off the heartrate, syncing, turning it bacl on, and syncing again with no result. Changing clock faces doesnt help either. When I take the watch off I no longer see any occasional green flashing light from the bottom, so would that mean my heartrate moniter stopped working? I don't remember dropping or bumping it to cause it to break.

I have a Versa Lite and that has happened to me. I shut my watch down and it corrected. Maybe that would work for you.

When the watch is taken off the arm, yes the watch sees that it has been removed and will turn off the lights to read the heart rate. So at this period of time the heart rate is not working. The lights should turn on when there is a detected change in light level.
I agree with shutting the tracker off, which is the only way to truely do a hard reset.
You may want to first try a soft restart.
I've also moved your Versa 2 question out of the Android app help area.
