Versa 2 is stuck on the screen that says to download the Fitbit app on your phone. It synced last night at 9pm and worked fine before but quit about 10 pm ? Tried restarting the watch but nothing works ? Any suggestions please?

It has probably got flat and has been factory reset?
In which case it needs installing as a new watch, remove its Bluetooth entry and remove it from the Fitbit App, profile photo, Device photo and rubbish bin top right.
Then after clicking profile photo from the main screen click on + Set up a Device and do all the original installation instructions.
