Versa 2 stuck on message "Data not cleared, Sync & Tried again"

ANSWERED

My versa 2 starts up with a red x and Data not cleared Sync & Try again.

I've held down the button until I see the logo disappear, pressed the button again and got it to vibrate. still shows.

I can't get to anything on the device, I can't get to settings to factory reset it.

I've unpaired my phone, and turned it off.

What else can I do to reset this device?

Hi there, @Lowzee. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is still stuck on that message. I will do my best to help you with this!

Please note the message you're receiving usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, I'd recommend trying the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
