Versa 2 stuck on old firmware

Hi all, I got a Versa 2 the other day.  Out of the box I was prompted for a firmware update.  Now it is currently on 35.68.9.15.  This version is missing smart wake, clock faces app, and the agenda app (all things available on my wife's Versa 2 and my old Versa).  There isn't any option in the phone app to update.  Support was next to useless as they told me to "Disregard the Version number. They are all up to date."

Is there any way to force an update to 35.70.8.0 or do I just have to wait X days until Fitbit decides I'm ready for the new firmware?

-Thanks

Hi dilvishdamned,

Did your Versa 2 manage to eventually update? I've got the exact same problem as you.

Stuck on the same version, missing the same features, and when I manually check for an update (profile picture > Help > Check for Versa 2 update) fitbit always says "Versa 2 is up to date!".

I've tried reinstalling the Fitbit app, and do not want to attempt a factory reset, as the last time I did that, it bricked my Versa 1 (would not turn back on, firmware likely corrupt).

Funny story...I had escalated with tech support and messaged a supervisor.
They replied that they do rolling firmware updates, there was no way to
force an update, and I'd have to wait, blah blah blah. I work in the IT
field and I know when I'm being taken for a ride. I replied that it seemed
highly unlikely that they couldn't push an update for me. The supervisor
replied back and said, and I quote: "After checking the back end tools
again, we are able to see that you have a firmware update pending on your
application".

I checked my app and sure enough I had an update pending. After updating I
was on the most recent firmware.
