I was having trouble with my Versa 2 not swiping correctly and the screen remaining blank. Because it was not responding to even repeated resets, I tried a factory reset.
this put it in "data not cleared, sync and try again" mode.
I removed it from bluetooth and from the app and re-added it to both. It claims to sync, but nothing appeared on the screen. The only thing I can do that gets any response is a reset or a factory reset -- which put it back to "data not cleared, sync and try again" mode.
Then I can loop it.

Please note that the error message you're now receiving on your watch's screen ("Data not cleared, Sync & Try and again") usually appears when you've performed a factory reset without first unpairing the watch. That being said, please confirm you've done the following:
If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
