Versa 2 stuck on "To start download the Fitbit app"

Hi Marre, I’m encountering an issue with my Versa 2 off late.. It wasn’t synchronising with my iPhone 14 Pro last week so I had to reset to factory settings and deleted the app and reinstalled it.. Though I tried all the available troubleshooting steps I now ended up with a message on my Versa 2 stating “To start download the Fitbit app” I already have the app and tried all your troubleshooting steps mentioned earlier.. Please help me resolve this!

Hi there, @arunv86. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not pairing anymore. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As per the message on the Fitbit device's screen, it seems that your Versa 2 is asking you to pair it properly. With that being said, I'd suggest doing the following in the order listed:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 2 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi Maria, Thanks for the quick response. I’ve tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps however the issue isn’t resolved yet. And I’m unable to do a factory reset either in Fitbit app or Versa 2. Is there a way out to get it paired and resolve? It’s really annoying
