Versa 2 stuck on the Fitbit logo after a factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I factory reset my Versa 2 and it cycled through the logo screen and then went completely black and unresponsive. It had about 43% battery left at the time of restart.

I put it back on the charger hoping something will happen but right now I’m at a loss.

Any suggestions?

Hi there, @bhoot960. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is stuck on the Fitbit logo. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please note that the difficulty you are having usually happens when you perform a factory reset without first unpairing the watch. In order to solve this issue, I'd recommend trying the steps below while your Versa 2 is connected to the charging cable:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
