Versa 2 stuck on the Fitbit logo

My Versa 2  that I just purchased is now stuck on the logo screen it flashes on and off occasionally I have charged it., have taken it out of my phone and put it back in. I have tried to restart by pushing the button on the side and holding it, I cannot get it to reset back to a regular screen so I can use it.
