I used to own a Basis watch and it had probably the best alarm I've ever experienced where the vibration would start long and weak and slowly work its way up in intensity and frequency. The effect was wonderful where the slow vibration already woke me up enough subconsciously that by the time it got really intense I didn't feel like I was being jarred out of my sleep. Regardless of what phase of sleep I'm in the versa 2 goes full on intense vibration right out the gate and just is not as pleasant to wake up to. It would be amazing if Fitbit could at least add an option to have more of a gentle wake alarm

Unfortunately this answer doesn't address the problem at all. Perhaps it wasn't clear enough in my question that I am aware of the Smart Wake feature but I still find it to be a poor feature because regardless of what sleep stage I'm woken from, such a quick and vigorous vibration is jarring and unpleasant. The Basis watch's method of slowly increasing the vibration was much more effective at waking me such that I felt awake and not just stirred out of sleep.

Hi there @Spike8, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear the Versa 2's vibration motor for your silent alarms are not suiting your needs, I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you.
Choose to turn on Smart Wake. When enabled, Smart Wake attempts to find the best time to wake you starting 30 minutes before the alarm time you set. It avoids waking you during deep sleep so you're more likely to wake up feeling refreshed. If Smart Wake can’t find the best time to wake you, your alarm alerts you at the set time. Alarms that use the Smart Wake setting have a different icon than the other alarms on your device.
Choose the days you want to be alerted. Save your alarm by pressing the back button to see your alarms. For more information, see: How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?
Let me know how it goes.
