Versa 2 synced but not receiving notifications and battery draining very fast

My versa 2 is connected to my phone and I get a notification if I get a call, but not for any messages etc. The battery is also draining far faster than usual since this problem started over a week ago. I've done all of the troubleshooting with no change at all

I’d recheck the settings of your message notifications. There are multiple steps to take as well as different routes depending on if your using android or an iOS device. I noticed you didn’t mention which mobile device you are using. 

This step by step guide is awesome here: https://www.wikihow.com/Receive-Notifications-on-a-Fitbit-Versa-2. It covers both going through an android settings as well as iOS settings. Follow each step in accordance to the mobile device you use.
