Versa 2 takes too long to start tracking my heart rate

Not only does it take sometimes up to 10 min and continually taking off, wiping over the sensors for the heart rate to recognize and start recording. Or at any time throughout the day will stop tracking.

My watch is clean .I regularly clean the back, band etc as I swim with it on..

I do try to charge it every day when I'm in the shower, so it's generally at or above the halfway full battery.  It's very frustrating that it takes so long to start registering heart rate as I'm trying to track zone min, on a healthy journey.

Never had issues with cheaper versions of fit bit watches, and almost regret buying the versa 2

Hi there, @xshandyx. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

Several factors can affect heart rate, including air temperature, stress level, alcohol or caffeine intake, immune response to illness, and medication use (source).

Exercising in cold weather can make it more difficult for your device to track your heart rate, as environmental conditions can affect skin perfusion (the amount of blood that flows through your skin).

Review our tips in How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?

If the above doesn't work, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

We hope your issue is solved soon.
