Versa 2 text messages disappearing

Before purchasing the Versa 2 I had a pebble time. I loved my pebble it was absolutely perfect. Now I see that one of my favorite features of the pebble is not on the Fitbit and I feel like I should just return it and go back to my pebble even thought it's out of business (it still works fine). I could access my last text messages for days and reply when I'm ready. Now I look at the Versa and once I see the message it's gone. I tried replying and looked away for a second then the text was gone and says nothing new here. I hadn't touched my phone! I loved being able to go back and reply to messages with my watch rather than having to pick up my phone all the time. This lack of a major feature is a deal breaker! Why does it have a clear all button if the notification disappears as soon as it pops up? That's pretty rediculous. I'm using Android and it still doesn't work. Also I can see 1 text and if another comes through the one before it is gone. Makes the text notification feature completely pointless.

I know this is more of a fitness watch but it's marketed as a smart watch and competitive with apple watches etc. I do like all of the other features, I'm just really disappointed in the texting feature and how useless it is.

I'll have to look for a setting, my notification do not disaper until i hit respond or clear. 

Expanding the message on the tracker doesn't remove the message.
