Versa 2 the screen fades in/out at times

I currently have a Versa but it’s been acting up (the screen fades in/out at times, has a halo appearance at times, and the heart rate isn’t always accurate). I love my watch and want to stay with Fitbit Versa. I’m just wondering if the new Versa 2 will clock my swimming laps? My current watch does and I want to make sure I have the same features, at a minimum. Thanks!

I haven't seen anything to make me think it will be any different as far as swimming goes, but no guarantee.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
