Versa 2 touch screen not working and stuck on "Reset failed"

Woke up to my Fitbit alarm but could not get the touch screen to work to turn it off. Tried to troubleshoot online by resetting my clock face, restarting multiple times, and now multiple attempted factory resets. Currently the screen display says reset failed and the touch screen still won't work.

UPDATE: data still syncs, but display is stuck on reset failed, and the touch screen does not work at all.
