Versa 2 tracked my sleep when I was not even wearing it

My versa 2 gave me a sleep score when it sat on my dresser charging.  It also said I woke up at 8 when I put the watch on and synced it with my phone... at 6am. 

What's happening??

Hi there, @Inspirejackie. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2. I understand where your concern is coming from. 

Sometimes your Versa 2 can't detect you have taken it off and if it hasn't moved for about an hour, your Fitbit device records that you’re asleep. For more details, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? 

I'd recommend turning off your Versa 2 when you take it off to prevent this from happening. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

I understand thank you for your reply.
Not only did it say I was sleeping it gave times of deep sleep, light sleep, rem sleep and awake times.... while it sat still charging. It said I was in bed from 10:43 - 8:30 ... when I took it off charge it was 6 am, I synced it right away at 6am and it said I woke up at 830 when it wasn't even 830 yet.
