Versa 2 tracking heart rate readings when I'm not wearing it

I bought my Versa 2 in December of 2021, but only really started using it on Feb 4.

Yesterday, while I was working, it tracked an hour and a half of sleep - while I was working. Not sure how it thought I was asleep.

Today, it had my at 114 bpm and I wasn’t even wearing it and I’ve noticed that it shows a heart rate in the app despite my not even wearing it. Where is it getting these readings? Does that mean that the readings while wearing it are wrong as well?

Not impressed and it makes me question the readings entirely and I can’t recommend the Versa 2 model at all.

Hi there, @Tws444. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2. I understand where your concern is coming from.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and they've already assisted you with this matter. If you still need help, please feel free to contact our team back.

As a friendly reminder, please note that sometimes the Versa 2 can't detect you have taken it off, and it sees what it thinks is your pulse. Note that if you remove your watch but it keeps moving, for example if you put it in a pocket, backpack, purse, or even on a nigh stand table, the Versa 2 may display an erroneous heart rate reading due to the vibrations. In addition, keep in mind that there are some factors that can affect the heart rate readings such as movement, temperature, humidity, stress level, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication to mention a few.
