Versa 2 tracking my calories and heart rate inaccurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had a Versa 2 for 17 months.  Today it showed my steps as 17,896 steps (probably correct) but I have only lost 1061 calories.  If I run it shows my heart rate as 200 bpm which is totally incorrect.  How long does the watch last?  Can it be fixed or is it meant to last a short time?  Is it garbage already?  The heart rate does not work either.

Hi there, @Ireland_15. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 2. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products.

Did you recently update your weight (or other profile settings such as height, age etc)? If you did, I'd double check your personal information to see if your weight and height were properly set, it may worth the try. To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?

Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned.

Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.

Regarding your heart rate, see What factors ca affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Thank you for replying Maria.  The heart rate is not accurate at times and I do know that, I just have to live it.  I figured out that the problem was that

the heart rate for yesterday stopped working at one point.  I rebooted the watch after my post and it started adding calories burned from that point on and it showed a heart beat as well.
