When a wake up in the morning my firbit already says I have taken several hundred steps and burnt over 1000 calories. It continues throughout the day like that. How do I fix it?

Hi there, @Sally2021. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Please note that Fitbit devices may register movements or restlessness as steps when you're wearing it while you sleep. Any steps taken to and from other rooms during the night will also be tracked. For more information about your step accuracy with the Versa 2, see How accurate are Fitbit devices?
As for the calories, Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned. If your device tracks heart rate, your heart-rate data is also included, especially to estimate calories burned during exercise. The number you see on your Fitbit device is your total calories burned for the day.
Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day. Because your body burns calories even if you’re asleep or not moving, you see calories burned on your device when you wake up and will notice this number increase throughout the day.
Hope that helps.

@Sally2021 As mentioned in my previous post, your Versa 2 may register movements or restlessness as steps when you're wearing it while you sleep. Also, any steps taken to and from other rooms during the night will also be tracked. For more detailed information, click here.

@Sally2021 if you want to see how those steps were distributed, in the morning you can click on Steps in the Fitbit App and then on the number of steps for today, to see a graph, or use a clock face like SimpleClockDuo which shows a history of the actual number of steps per hour.
That way you will know when you did your sleep walking! Lol
