Versa 2 under counting calories burnt

Hi I have had my Fitbit Versa 2 around a month now, when I first got it I was burning around 3000 calories a day as I am doing a lot of at home exercise, since the update 70.7.21 I am now only burning around 1700 although I am doing just as much exercise, I have noticed sometimes when doing a workout my heart rate isn’t increasing although I can feel myself out of breath and sweating the same as I was, thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Bethanyjaneeeee

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about your calorie burn accuracy after the update. Thank you for providing the additional details, I am glad to assist you with that.

I understand that you're doing the same activity, thank you for letting me know that your heart rate during exercise is not increasing as before. I would like to mention that the calculation of calories burned depends on the heart rate data, and the higher the heart rate the higher the calorie burn. For more information, please see this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned? In this help article you can also find the tips to improve accuracy of your device: What are some tips to make sure my Fitbit daily activity is accurate?

I also recommend restarting your watch and following the tips from this help article to improve the accuracy of your heart rate as it affects your calorie burn: How do I improve the accuracy of my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
