Hi there, @Trish305 @Maheb063. Welcome to the Community Forums! Hi, @beach63. It's nice to see you around the Community Forums! Thank you guys for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Fitbit devices before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

As a first approach, I'd like to confirm you all have tried restarting your Fitbit devices as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

If the above has not worked, may I know if your watches vibrate when you connected them to the charger? If they don't, please try the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

I'm having the same issue with my Versa 2. The screen is black. I've also tried to restart and sync it.

I just noticed that not only is it not syncing to my iPhone via Bluetooth, looks like it hasn’t synced since last week.

I’m wondering if there was a software or firmware update? My AirPods stopped working too this week on my iPhone.

I have tried this, brought a new charger and it still won’t turn on even when I hold down the buttons for 10 seconds. Anything else I can try ?

Best Answer

Having the same issue as well. I charged it using the appropriate charger and in different wall/USB stations. I briefly got the Fitbit logo once when restarting and even got to my watch face for about 2 seconds and then back to black. The watch also felt extremely hot so I feel like it's a battery issue but so far have not seen any recalls or received anything from Fitbit that would confirm that.

Fitbit is a use and through device. No repairable, no  service centre. Never recommend anyone for fitbit.

Fit bits are another disposable thing. Such a waste. I don’t want to just throw it out and buy a new one which is the current recommendation. Unfixable.  The company needs to look At it’s sustainability for the environment …. Not just it profits. This product should last longer than 2 years. The second the warranty ends the fit but stopped working.
