Versa 2 won't connect to a LG Pheonix Plus

Just purchased a new Versa 2 and it won't connect to the Android 9 LG phone. Gets as far as the 4 digit code then it says it can't connect.  Rebooted the phone and Fitbit, reset bluetooth and followed the steps but still won't connect.  I need help.

Your phone is not on the list of Approved Devices.

If you buy a versa 2 be ready to spend a lot more money on new phone to keep it.
